What I’ve Been Up To, Book Launch and Blog News!

Happy April! This month marks four years since I started recapping the Prydain series on this blog, and in that time, my life has changed a great deal. I started the “Prydain project” to fill my soul with joy as an antidote to my frustrating and stifling day job. I eventually left that cruddy job for one I loved, stayed at the good job for two years and then accepted an even better opportunity. That dream gig ended abruptly this past January, and this week I’m starting yet another job (which I’m sure I’ll love even more)!

In addition to all the work transition, I finally decided – after a long, fruitless period of querying agents – to move forward with self-publishing my novel, “The Freedom Dreamers.” I’ve spent the last few months putting into practice all the nuts and bolts of DIY publishing that I’ve been studying for the past several years. It’s been quite a journey, but it’s nearly done!

Here’s a coy little glimpse of the soon-to-be-revealed cover!

The book will be released (in both e-book and paperback) in early May, but subscribers to my newsletter will get a chance to read it before anyone else. Details are coming to your inbox soon – and if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter yet, here’s the link to do so!

Also: in preparation for the book launch, I’m giving the blog a makeover! It will be moving from Blogger to WordPress sometime in the next few weeks. I’m expecting any downtime to be minimal, but if you experience any issues accessing the site, please check back … or shoot me an email or hit me up on social media to let me know. Thanks!
